Women on Bikes Day 7: Nominate your Spokeswoman!

It’s finally Friday!

And while I have a very impressive line-up of SPOKESwomen yet to be featured over the next week, I want to give all of you a chance to nominate your favorite woman in the saddle and give her an opportunity to be recognized, celebrated, and rewarded with a Women’s Cycling Day gift packaged tailored specifically for her.

Every one of the women I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing, riding with, and sharing with you over the last 6 days is unique and plays an important role in helping all of us at Bike Law inch our way closer to a better, safer, more inclusive bicycling future.

NOMINATE YOUR SPOKESWOMAN

Please share your nominations with me via email at [email protected], and tell me about a woman in the saddle that has impacted you and/or your community in a way that’s special.

I will read them all from top to bottom and will choose a winner on Monday.

She will be the recipient of one of our limited edition Bike Law x Wattie Ink. Women’s Cycling Day kits, OR the cycling apparel in which she’s most comfortable! The prize itself is worth $450 — not even a tiny fraction of the value she adds to our dynamic, impassioned, and diverse community of Women on Bikes!

So don’t be shy. And please don’t forget to check back on Monday to find out who the winning lady is!

I’ll see you back here tomorrow for Day 8 of our Women on Bikes x Bike Law Takeover with a very special feature who’s also one of Bike Law’s very dear friends!

Ride Proud!

Ann Groninger Apr 04, 2024

Love them or hate them, e-bikes continue to rise in popularity. At the same time, lawmakers struggle to keep up with the developing technologies. Many of our cycling clients find themselves having to interact with the criminal justice system. Typically, it’s because the driver who hits them (or their family member) is charged with a crime or traffic offense. Occasionally bicyclists themselves are charged with traffic offenses! Every state’s criminal laws are different, but there is a lot of […]

Recently, attorneys with the Bike Law network took a case to a trial against a titan of a defendant: the Texas Department of Transportation. Unless you’re a very recent follower of ours, you’ve heard us talk before about “contributory negligence.” To recap: “pure contributory negligence” is the law in North Carolina and only 3 other states (Alabama, Virginia, Maryland). In pure contributory negligence states, if a person is injured by someone else’s fault and the injured person contributes even […]
